Introduction: Fire safety devices save lives. The purpose of this program is to help you prevent fire-related deaths and injuries at your facility by selecting, installing, and maintaining fire safety devices.
 
Objectives: At the end of this course, you will be able to: 
  • Identify why fire safety devices are important in assisted living facilities;
  • Identify different types of fire safety devices that can keep your residents safe;
  • Describe how these devices operate;
  • Identify different types of fire safety devices that can keep your residents safe;
  • Explain where to install them and how to test and maintain them, and; 
  • Teach your staff and residents about fire safety devices.
